You’re not alone. Here, we answer the most common questions about our app, from safety and accessibility to what you can share and how to get early access and connect with your street.

  • Neighbr is the group chat for your street, flat, or neighbrhood. It’s a simple way to connect with the people who live closest to you — share updates, ask for help, rehome items, or just stay in the loop.

  • Yes — Neighbr is designed with your safety first.
    Every user goes through a simple address-based verification process, and you’ll only ever have access to the group chat for your own street or flat. Your personal details stay private, and you decide exactly how much you want to share — including things like your door number. We make connecting easy, but we make your security the priority.

  • Currently you can sign up with your email to receive news and updates, join the waitlist and even join the beta. Be among the first to get early access when we launch in your area.

  • While we may share similar features and goals, our focus is on hyperlocal connections which are facilitated by our dedicated street group chats. Other apps still require individuals to go out and gather neighbr information laboriously to manually create a group chat. We cut out the middleman and facilitate every street with it’s own dedicated group chat so you don’t have to.

  • Where do we start?! Pretty much anything neighbrly. You can share events, local updates, items for sale, lending or giving away. Access tailored local discounts, requests for help, volunteer opportunities, lost & found, community-related organisation and more! If it helps your street or neighbrhood, it belongs here.

  • Neighbr will be available for both iOS and Android.

  • No - The core app is completely free to download and use.

  • Our Community Guidelines keep Neighbr kind, safe and useful for everyone. In short: be respectful, keep things local, protect everyone’s privacy, avoid spam, and use Neighbr to help, not harm, your community. Only verified neighbrs can join, and any unsafe or inappropriate behaviour can be reported for review. Our full guidelines are still under review as we continue to improve the app and will release in completion ahead of launch.
